Today, we are excited to continue our Community Spotlight series, where we travel around Birmingham and check out great local spots. For this installment, we’re covering the great community of Trussville!

Trussville has been a well-kept secret, but it’s not anymore. It is now a drawing card for those who love old homes and want to upgrade or remodel, who want their children to be able to walk to and from school, and who love the idea of being in a community and outside with neighbors. The Trussville downtown area has been revitalized, and it is similar to a modern-day Mayberry.

When you visit Trussville, make sure you save up your appetite because there are some great places to eat there. Check out places like Ferus Artisan Ale, Half Shell Oyster House, the Trussville Social, Mr. West’s Asian Kitchen, and more. Plus, there’s the Three-Eared Rabbit, which is an awesome old-fashioned soda fountain and sandwich shop. You should also check out the entertainment district, where you can find restaurants, breweries, jumbo TV screens, and live music weekly. Plus, you can shop until your heart is content in Trussville, and they have a lot of great places like Wrapsody, Tula J, Serendipity, and Caroline & Company.

Trussville is just minutes from I-20, 59, and 459. You get all of the conveniences there without feeling like you’re in a big city.
