Christmas is just around the corner, and that has me thinking about gift-giving! The other day, I read a quote that said, “It’s not about how much you give, but about how much heart you put into the giving.” In honor of that quote, here’s a little treat that you can put as much of your heart into as you want: hot apple cider spice. We’ll make one right now so that you can see how it’s done and how you can use it as a gift for yourself.
You’ll need a mixing bowl, something to mix it with, two cups of sugar, a teaspoon of allspice, one teaspoon of nutmeg, one teaspoon of cinnamon, one teaspoon of clove, and a cute little jelly jar as a container. All you need to do is mix all of the ingredients into one bowl.
On a side note, I’d like to mention that this recipe was inspired by the Savory Nothings’ blog. They have printable directions, but you don’t need to print them if you don’t want to. You can always make it as pretty and as decorative as you would like.
“We can’t thank you enough.”
Going back to our little treat, after mixing the ingredients, put your spice in the jar, and cover it with a lid. You can also include a very cute jar of apple juice so that the receiver can enjoy the gifts together. They can take about one tablespoon of the spice and add it to about one quart of apple juice. To spice up their whole Christmas season, they can even add it to red wine or cranberry juice!
You guys are a gift to us, and we can’t thank you enough. It’s your support, love, encouragement, and trust that keep us going. We just wanted to tell you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
As always, if you need us, we’re here. Don’t hesitate to reach out by giving us a call or sending an email. We’re always happy to hear from you!
